Independent Melodic House project Horizon Beats, founded by Steven and Recardo, is opening up about the creative process behind its music after more than a year of building its catalog. The duo has announced a new commitment to transparency by publicly explaining how their songs are created.
How Every Song Is Built
According to the pair, every Horizon Beats release begins as an original idea. Steven and Recardo write the lyrics, compose the melodies, build the chord progressions, produce the instrumentals, arrange every section of the song, and shape the emotional direction behind each release.
The vocal performances are created using an AI-assisted workflow, while the songwriting, composition, production, and overall creative vision remain entirely their own.
“We’ve always wanted our listeners to connect with the music first,” Steven said. “Every lyric, melody, arrangement, and instrumental comes from us. The vocals are one part of the production process, and we believe it’s important to be transparent about that.” — Horizon Beats
Honesty Over Image
The duo says the decision reflects their belief that honesty with listeners is more important than pretending their workflow is something it isn’t. Rather than hiding how the music is made, they hope fans judge Horizon Beats by the originality of the songwriting and production.
What Comes Next
Looking ahead, these producers will continue developing their signature blend of emotionally driven Melodic House, Progressive influences, and guitar-led production while remaining committed to creating original music.
“The music hasn’t changed,” Recardo added. “We’re simply giving people a clearer understanding of how we bring our ideas to life.”
With transparency now becoming part of the project’s identity, Horizon Beats says this marks the beginning of its next chapter—one built on original songwriting, evolving music production, and an honest connection with listeners.
