Kim Free continues to surprise her fans, this time with huge collaborations for her ‘Miami RMXS’ EP. This release package features three quality remixes showcasing a diverse combination of electronic music genres. In my own personal opinion, each track has its own charm. Perhaps, if you are a DJ and need to prepare a creative EDM set, then I would suggest you to include the Robert Elbach‘s remix to the tracklist. Believe it or not, its vibe feels so powerful and uplifting. The second of the three remixes is from Los Angeles underground producer r.r. barbadas, who puts his own unique spin characterized by Electronica/Chill sounds but preserving the sweet vocals from Kim Free. Lastly, Micah James gives “Miami” a cinematic twist as a result of his experimental edits. By all means, he brings his avant-garde vision of music to life. Big Gigantic Release New Installment Of Winter Chill Mix Series
It wouldn’t be the holiday season without Big Gigantic’s cozy Winter Chill Mix, which returned in its ninth volume this month, loaded with fantastic music befitting of the most mellow (ideally) time of the year. The first Winter Chill Mix was released in 2014, and not only has it become a fan favorite, but it’s developed a cult following of its own.
This year’s edition weaves in old favorites like Swedish House Mafia, Odesza, Griz, Flume and San Holo alongside new favorites like Fred Again and Nimino resulting in a wildly enjoyable —- long ride through the chilly – and chill – season.
Clearly this festive mix means just as much to Big Gigantic as it does to the fans:
“Very excited to present our 9th installment of the Winter Chill Mix! This mix has some of our favorite songs as of late, from some of our favorite artists that are on the more chill side of things. This mix is perfect for cold winter nights and holiday season vibes. Hope you guys enjoy this one as much as we do!”
Big Gigantic, known for genre-bending production, live instrumentation, and a dedicated relationship to fans, first amplified their hopeful message for the future on Brighter Future in 2016. It reeled in hundreds of millions of streams independently and touted bangers a la “All of Me” [feat. Logic & ROZES], “The Little Things” [feat. Angela McCluskey], “Highly Possible” [feat. Waka Flocka Flame], “Wide Open” [feat. Cherub], and more. Their music would be utilized by everyone from Apple, Wimbledon, NASCAR, NBA, HBO, and Fox to the trailers for Valerian and Dirty Grandpa. They’ve ignited the bills of Coachella, Lollapalooza, ULTRA Music Festival, Hangout Music Festival, Electric Forest, and Bonnaroo. Plus, they headline and consistently sell out their own Rowdytown at Red Rocks Amphitheatre—now in its 11th year for 2022. Putting their words into action, they run the 501(c)3 A Big Gigantic Difference Foundation, which supports non-profits for at-risk youth, music education, and more. Thus far, they have raised $1 million-plus for charity. In the midst of the Global Pandemic, they continued to create, pushing forward towards what would become Brighter Future 2, released in June 2022, stacked with anthems like “Keep on Rising” [feat. Aloe Blacc], “Open Your Mind” [with GRiZ], “Just the Same” [feat. Vic Mensa & Mick Jenkins], and “Free” [feat. Elohim].
In February of 2023 they’re hitting the road for a 20 city tour – tickets can be purchased here.
