Witness The Incredible “Love Comes Quickly” Cover By JES

Published

on

Something modern and fresh, that’s exactly how this “Love Comes Quickly” cover by Young Parisians featuring JES sounds. It’s definitely a 1986 hit by the Pet Shop Boys brought back with a current vibe that’s still winning hearts!

Transitioning from Trance to Electro-Pop

Young Parisians is the alter ego of British producer Solarstone, who’s known for creating exciting anthems for the Trance music scene. Likewise, JES has been bringing hypnotic melodies to life as a singer in this genre for over a decade.

With this “Love Comes Quickly” cover, both showcase their artistic versatility and make a transition that transforms the original version from nostalgic to cutting-edge.

Obviously, this new rendition isn’t just another uplifting vocal Trance piece you’re used to hearing from their productions, but it’s an Electro-Pop gem that pays high-quality tribute to the best musical duo in history.

Interpreting “Love Comes Quickly” Lyrics

Luckily, the lyrics for “Love Comes Quickly” stay the same in this remake launched via Black Hole Recordings. Basically, they revolve around how love can catch you off guard when you’re not expecting it.

In other words, the song talks about how you might be just living your life, thinking you’ve got it all sorted, and then—boom!—love surprises you out of nowhere.

Personally, it’s one of my favorite compositions because it has an optimistic/hopeful meaning.

Maybe there’s some truth to the saying that you don’t search for love, it just shows up in your life automatically. Besides that, with this tune, you can easily manifest it if you want to.

The cherry on top is that the synthesizers make this message fun and relatable. Plus, JES gives it a complete 180 with her vocals, and both old and new fans are loving her take on this cover.

Lately, there’s been a trend of reimagining hits from the ’80s, like what Dave Audé and Sarah Potenza did with Starship’s “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now” or how Joon made “Just Can’t Get Enough”  an unforgettable cover of Depeche Mode a few years ago.

And I can’t wait to hear more of this kind of stuff forever!…
