The “Murder On The Dancefloor” singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor is back with a shiny new album called ‘Perimenopop’ and a massive tour! After her classic 2001 hit found new life thanks to the movie Saltburn, she is once again delivering the catchy jams you have been missing.
One of the standout compositions is the latest single “Glamorous.” Co-written with Sigrid, this song captures her natural essence: sparkling, sleek, and made for dancing. Stream it loud.
These lyrics revolve around the magnetic attraction to someone who exudes a beautiful, intoxicating danger. It’s that thrilling feeling of being drawn to a dazzling light, even if you know you might get burned by the flame.
I’m enjoying this jam, but “Layers” is the one I have on repeat. It’s 100% pure Disco, and I’m really hoping for a music video soon. One way or another, it reminds me a bit of her super amazing “Crying At The Discotheque” cover.
A New Album: Perimenopop
Sophie Ellis-Bextor dropped her eighth studio album, ‘Perimenopop,’ on September 12, 2025, and yes, the title is just as clever as it sounds. It’s a fun play on “perimenopause” and “pop,” highlighting where she is in life while creating music that’s all about having a blast.
Definitely, this 12-track material is marking a confident and joyful return to her classic Disco-infused Pop sound. Moreover, it’s all about embracing life, feeling empowered, and knowing who you are.
Sophie Ellis-Bextor Tour 2025
Sophie is embarking on her biggest headline tour yet, spanning the UK, Europe, and North America. She already crushed a huge UK tour in May/June, even selling out the Royal Albert Hall!
Now, the Perimenopop party is hitting Europe this autumn, with stops in Milan, Paris, Berlin, and more. Also, in late October/early November, she has included US dates in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York.
