Transport back to the era of 80s Synthpop thanks to this nostalgia-fueled song by Fearcity and Preston Knight, called “Crush On You.” Clearly, the retro melody, in my humble opinion, is absolutely unbeatable.
Right from the start, you will notice it’s the perfect blend of classy and authentically vintage synths. What’s more, the accompanying music video seems to pay homage to the iconic style of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.
No joking, you’ll be hitting that repeat button as soon as it ends. Preston Knight’s vocals are also a treat, riding that fine line between intimate and anthemic perfectly.
It’s evident a lot of love and care went into crafting this catchy tune that evokes 80s Synthpop. Additionally, I admire the way the lyrics tell a dark and mysterious narrative of obsession, and possibly supernatural elements, with a chilling twist in the end.
Who would have thought that music for vampires is actually cool? ha ha ha.
In any case, if you’re hooked on this type of Dracula-inspired visuals, make sure to check out similar clips like “Your Side Of Town” by The Killers or “Dancing In The Shadows” by Tom Hamstrom.
Overall, “Crush On You” is a total win in my newest Spotify playlist, it’ll surely keep the Synth fam feeling good all week long!
