Platinum producer Felix Cartal releases his 4th studio album ‘Expensive Sounds For Nice People’ via Physical Presents. Also taken from the album are previously released “Mine” with Sophie Simmons, and “Love Me” with Lights; both are certified Platinum in Canada, with the latter one also winning the Dance Recording of the Year at the Junos 2020. Other remarkable tracks on the album include “Only One” with the hit UK singer-songwriter Karen Harding and “My Last Song” with the rebellious Norwegian songstress Hanne Mjøen, “Too Late” with the Juno Award-winning singer and composer KROY (from Quebec duo Milk & Bone), as well as “The Life” with Fjord as well as several solo indie dance anthems from Felix, which find themselves at home on the album. Cartal’s earlier “Get What You Give” also reached Platinum status, while one of the most recent singles “Happy Hour” with Kiiara was featured on 32 Spotify New Music Friday playlists as well as Billboard’s Best New Dance Tracks.
A release nearly 3 years in the making, ‘Expensive Sounds For Nice People’ covers a range of emotions: from the ecstatic highs of new love to the frustrating lows brought by inevitable heartbreak, all held up by a backbone of unique house music. Felix Cartal lures listeners onto the dancefloor with an array of strong female vocals, showcasing some of the best singers the pop world has to offer one unforgettable track at a time, as each occupies its own sonic realm of indie dance, and none is quite like the other.
Felix Cartal shares the history behind the album: “My fourth album ‘Expensive Sounds For Nice People’ is part of the second musical chapter in my life. My first two albums were the first chapter of my musical career: a scrappier, undeveloped, experimental phase where a lot of the ideas didn’t quite get executed how I would want from lack of skill or know-how. I’m still fond of that time and those releases but was ultimately frustrated that I couldn’t make what I wanted to come to life exactly how I heard it in my head. The other big problem from that era was consistency, and basically, that’s what I’ve become obsessed with. Growing up arguably through one of the worst eras of one-hit-wonders in musical history, I remember constantly being disappointed when I bought an album and there was only one good song. I hated that. And I think remembering that has guided me into this second chapter of my life. Where I’ve just tried to grind it out daily at the studio and work on my skills, and trying to become more consistent. I’m more into the ‘Jiro Dreams of Sushi’ chef approach nowadays, where I just try to log hours every day to refine my craft. Not too concerned with the result from that specific day but knowing that if I stack those hours I will in fact improve. I want every song to be 100% something I’m proud of, or it’s not coming out.”
He goes on to further elaborate: “The title of the album is a tongue-in-cheek description of all this. The Sounds, to me, are Expensive because I know time is a valuable commodity and I’ve logged the hours to get there. On the other hand, as an artist, who knows what even gives art value half the time? But for me, the fact that people still to this day take the time to write me heartfelt messages about my music inspires me to keep going and to keep creating. So this album is for them, the Nice People who take the time to care, and for me, because I care too. I hope the album, from front to back, is enjoyable. I’ve worked very hard on every detail for the past 3 years.”

“‘Kids Like Us’ is a song that has a very special place in my heart. As I crafted the beats and melodies, I felt the music come alive, a vibrant tapestry of sound that beckoned you to feel like a kid again. The title came from a place deep within my heart, a longing for the innocence of youth when the world was a playground, and worries were but fleeting whispers. Like a technicolor dream, the song paints vivid images of laughter, sun-drenched afternoons, and endless possibilities. Each note was a brushstroke, every lyric a stroke of nostalgia’s brush. It was a melody that transported you back in time while keeping one foot firmly in the now, a balancing act of emotion and innovation. What started out as a very uncommon and difficult topline ended up being one the most emotional songs I’ve ever worked on. The big vocal hook, together with the pop-ish verses, is something very different from what I usually produce, but for me, that’s the magic about this record” — LUM!X
At just 21 years old, Austrian-Italian musician LUM!X, real name Luca Michlmayr, is quickly becoming one of the hottest names in the global electronic music scene. In 2022, he became one of the first DJs to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest, representing Austria in the competition. In 2023, he also won two prizes at the Amadeus Awards of Austria for Song Of The Year and Best Dance Act with his song “Halo,” featuring Pia Maria.

Cash Cash & Taylor Dayne Team Up On 2023’s Take On “Tell It To My Heart”
The unstoppable production Dance-Pop trio Cash Cash teams up with one of the Top Dance artists of all time – Taylor Dayne, for their new smash hit, a 2023 take on “Tell It To My Heart,” originally released by Taylor back in 1987 as her debut single, after which she rose to global stardom.
Cash Cash’s new song incorporates newly recorded, simply stunning vocals from Taylor Dayne while adding fresh elements of autotune and vocoder to certain samples to make for a groovy and digitized sound. The New Jersey-based producer and songwriter group incorporates their dynamic sound in the form of upbeat, emotive chords and a progressive bassline mixed with in-your-face synths, giving the track a modern flavor of old-school, Disco-inspired ballads that pull on heartstrings for many years to come.
“Tell It To My Heart” is out on Ultra Records/Sony Music.
“‘Tell It To My Heart’ was such a legendary song of its time with such a unique sound. The vocals alone had such a powerful instant melody that in combination with the lyrics, made for an infectious hook. The track also had such a fun, iconic 80’s tone with the synths and instruments that we really wanted to preserve in our version. I think we found the perfect balance in taking a trip down memory lane while going someplace new at the same time. There’s a popular phrase that a hit song is a hit song no matter how it’s dressed up. We took this already phenomenal song and put a whole new 2023 suit and tie on it. Taylor also is one of those artists that’s simply #stillgotit, and it shows in this version in which she completely recorded brand new vocals for.” — Cash Cash
“I am really excited for fans around the world to hear my new single and collaboration with the great team Cash Cash ‘Tell It To My Heart.'” — Taylor Dayne

Berlin Got An Electronic Music Anthem Produced By Scooter!
For many years, Berlin has been hailed as the epicenter of electronic music. It’s a city that has transformed alongside this genre, and it was about time that Scooter released a tribute anthem to celebrate it.
From underground clubs to massive festivals, the German capital has it all! Taking this into account, Scooter gets inspired by the vibrant ambiance of its nightlife, and this new banger called “Berliner Luft” invites you to throw your hands up in the air.
On a side note, to grasp the essence of “Berliner Luft” and Berlin’s electronic music scene, it’s essential to experience its party vibes firsthand. In my opinion, there’s nothing better than discovering the iconic Berghain or the hidden gems of Friedrichshain.
The urban area offers a diverse range of venues where you can enjoy non-stop fun as seen in the visuals.
Moreover, with the traditional Hard Dance style and unmistakable vocals of H.P. Baxxter, this tune will soon become a brand-new hit. Above all, catchy melodies and electrifying beats capture the spirit of this great Metropolis through an upbeat rhythm.
In brief, Scooter is a talented group that continues to reinvent themselves. Also, they never fail to impress; that’s the reason why I can’t wait to hear their next melodic stompers…
