Retro synth sounds awaken nostalgia but at the same time make you dream about everything related to futurism. If you enjoy electronic melodies as much as I do, I recommend watching the new music video by Echo Image, “Madsong.”
Synthpop Made In Norway
Echo Image is a Norwegian band that got their start way back in 1997 as a kind of experimental music thing. They were just messing around with retro synth sounds and drum machines, seeing what cool productions they could come up with.
Over the years, some of the members of this group have changed, but their passion for analog tones remains strong to this day.

The Revival of Retro Rhythms
Alright, let’s dive into the new single “Madsong.” In the first place, the combination of male and female voices creates a dynamic blend, adding richness to the overall sound of their music.
Likewise, I would dare to say they are taking listeners back to the enchanting era of the 80s. And you know what’s even better? This style has made a major comeback in recent years, with mainstream artists like The Weeknd, The Killers, and even Ava Max jumping on the bandwagon.
No doubt, it’s a revival of timeless keyboard-generated rhythms. And, understandably, every song of this kind is just so addictive.
Most importantly, this tune will be available on all streaming platforms on February 29th.
A Neon-Lit Night Drive
The music video for “Madsong” is basically like taking a nighttime drive through a neon-lit landscape with palm trees swaying in the background. It’s got all those iconic elements that you’d expect from the genre.
But predictability doesn’t always have to be a bad thing. In this case, it’s an aesthetic that totally works and is pretty darn pleasing to the eye. After all, it’s a trip you won’t want to miss!
