SENAIDA Drops The World’s 1st Collaborative AI-Generated Album

Canadian-born Chinese artist, DJ, sound architect, AI researcher, and creative entrepreneur SENAIDA (pronounced “Shuh-nay-duh”) is breaking new ground by blending art, music, and technology. Their work explores the intersection of emerging tech and sustainability, creating experiences that challenge the boundaries of human creativity.

Last Friday, December 13, ‘KUNST KAPUTT’ had its VIP Album Release Show in New York—a one-of-a-kind event that was both an art exhibition and an album release, merging interactive multimedia installations including virtual reality (VR) music video, augmented reality, sculptures, photography, and video art with music to bring audiences into the world of the album!

So, what!s ‘KUNST KAPUTT’ all about? It’s an experimental project where anyone can use AI to remix and reimagine the album’s original tracks. These AI-generated mixes can then be shared on the blockchain, with a 50-50 revenue share going directly to the original artist and the remix creator. It’s all about fair compensation, transparency, and fostering global collaboration…

Through this project, SENAIDA hopes to criticize the current music streaming economy, which exploits music creators, with most artists making mere fractions of a penny for their art. This project demonstrates that by making music creation more accessible, anyone can participate in the music streaming economy which forms a larger community where the artist and collaborators can share in the profits of the album.

In a world where AI’s role in the arts is still up for debate, SENAIDA is showing that AI can be a tool for amplifying human creativity, not replacing it. Alongside the launch of the album, SENAIDA released a Collector’s Edition on Metalabel which includes the original masters of all fifteen tracks used to generate the AI remixes.
