Blowing the roof off with soulful vocals, high-voltage drama, and grandeur, Anya Randall Nebel and her musical project The Anya Audette (theanyaaudette) return with new music. This time, she reimagines Shirley Bassey’s “Get The Party Started,” a song originally made famous by Pink!
Anya’s not just inspired by the legendary voice behind James Bond themes like Goldfinger, Diamonds Are Forever, and Moonraker; she straight-up channels that signature style of elegance and fire.
But here’s the kicker: she adds her twist, bringing a fresh, bold energy that hits even harder!
Without a doubt, Pink’s take is all gritty guitars and pounding drums, while Shirley and Anya’s version feels made for a grand concert hall. To put it another way, it’s melodically infectious, with a touch of theatrical flair.
When Reinvention Becomes Art
Turns out Anya wasn’t joking about giving old hits a wild makeover. Indeed, this cover is a masterclass in how to take a beloved Pop hit and remold it into brilliance.
The Maryland-based independent artist delivers the verses with confidence and control, then drops the chorus like a bomb. Best of all, it bridges Pink’s original with Shirley Bassey’s iconic 2006 revamp, honoring both legends.
Reinventing memorable gems isn’t exactly easy; it’s always gonna get judged by fans of the originals. Nevertheless, when The Anya Audette adds her spin and special charm, the result is stunning.
Besides, I feel like she levels up with every release, and her ambition shines through in the way she perfects every little detail of her music.
Interpreting one of her favorite artists is also a personal milestone that showcases her ability to balance homage with reinvention. This is how creative risks pay off beautifully.

Coming Soon: Iconic Covers Reimagined
Consider this tune your first look at her winter album next year. With a cover this strong, the full project promises to dominate.
Working with her Blue Room Productions team, longtime collaborators Jarreau Williams and Conrad Osipowicz, The Anya Audette created something next level. Incredibly, this will be her fourth album in just 12 months!
And here’s the cherry on top, more previews are coming in August, featuring her amazing takes on “Goldfinger” and Gloria Gaynor’s timeless anthem, “I Will Survive.”
The theme is very James Bond, but with edges and liberties that I took. Honestly, I dove into Shirley Bassey’s discography and pieced the songs together with my own flair. I didn’t really have to do much—I honored her as much as a fan could! The songs are in order of my life. Phew! It was an emotional one. — Anya Randall Nebel
In short, the upcoming material promises to be her most ambitious yet, with a bold James Bond-inspired theme that dives deep into Shirley Bassey’s legendary discography. Keep an eye on her socials below for updates.
