SLIMEAGEDDON
Snails listeners, prepare for total annihilation – the “Vomitstep” trailblazer has announced his next EP on his imprint Slugz Music, ominously titled ‘SLIMEAGEDDON’. Set to be released this year, the upcoming EP will consist of bass-laden tracks, the first of which Snails just dropped as a teaser for what’s to come. Snails conjures images of a brand new monster on ‘SLIMEAGGEDDON’’s premiere track “Snailephant”, a heavy-hitting atom bomb for which he teamed up with fellow bass producer Wooli. “Snailephant” comes out of the gate swinging with guttural basslines and mind-bending drops, evoking images of robots at war in deep space; take a listen to the track to discover just what the premise for the title may be. Snails delivers this huge news after the success of his recent releases “Magnets” with Zeds Dead and “Redline” with Boogie T., rounding out what has been nothing short of a massive year for the Slugz Music labelhead. Slugz Music welcomes Wooli with the release of “Snailephant,” who has also released on Never Say Die, Monstercat and Firepower.

Bassrush Records
A memorable moment in time, RIOT are owning the 10-year anniversary of the group’s inception. Taking the time to reflect on it all, the Israeli-born duo are ushering in the next chapter in their careers with the release of their ‘IN CASE OF FIRE’ EP. The 3-track project is out now via Bassrush Records.

Celebrating the 10th year anniversary of the duo’s birth, Tom Davidson and Daniel Magid are taking their brand to newer heights as they look to cement themselves as one of the most dynamic and electrifying acts in dance music. From the streets of Israel to Ultra Music Festival, RIOT’s ascension has been nothing short of eventful. Battle-tested and resilient as can be, the bass music duo is letting their music speak for itself.

Featuring a mirage of skull-shattering bass, RIOT push speakers to their limits on the “IN CASE OF FIRE” EP. Infused with undeniable energy, each track on the 3-track project explodes with pulsating soundscapes. As layers of animated synths whir and basslines pound, RIOT invites all to join them as they celebrate the past 10 years and look forward to reigning supreme across the dance music empire.

“During Covid, we hit a point where we felt exhausted creatively. We felt that something needed to change. We went on a quest to explore new avenues and sounds. We owed it to ourselves and to our fans. Something about the hybrid of Hip-Hop and Dubstep just felt right. That’s how this EP was born. It’s groovy and super fun for us both to produce and listen to. It’s different from anything we put out before and we’re excited to see how the fans will react to it!” — RIOT

RIOT has released multiple chart-topping originals on Monstercat, Dim Mak, and Insomniac records which includes collaborations with Kayzo, Slander, and DirtyPhonics. Along with trend-setting originals, RIOT has massive remixes for heavy hitters Infected Mushroom, Knife Party, and Pegboard Nerds. Israeli-born and raised DJ duo RIOT, Tom Davidson and Daniel Magid, recently relocated to Los Angeles, CA to bring their mix of progressive melodies and heavy bass lines to the music capital of the world. Their style mixes two extremes of electronic music which energizes their fanbase to make an immediate impression and memory that can last a lifetime.

Don Peyote Unveils Dubstep/Hardwave Hybrid “Kizuki”

Published

on

Don Peyote
A true master of sound, Don Peyote and his mind-melting catalog relentlessly break the chains of genre constraints time and time again. In 2021, his self-titled album descended from the cosmos with 13 Bass-infused heaters, ranging from Freeform to punchy Dubstep. Now, the New Orleans native returns with his second release for 2022, “Kizuki.

Holstering a palpable swagger from the jump, “Kizuki” opens with a slew of distorted synths and warbles before descending into a frenzy of raucous beatwork. Too large to fit inside a singular box, “Kizuki” deftly fuses elements of Dubstep, Bass, and Hardwave. From start to finish, Don Peyote commands control with bestial growls, high-octane syncopation, and a pummeling bassline fit for any and every corner of Bass music’s empire.

➤ Download/Stream

“Kizuki was originally three, crazy Dubstep projects built with influence from different styles, i.e., Trap, Wave, Drum n’ Bass, all of that. I wanted to push the envelope further and really hone in on something special in this production, and you can feel that in the sounds!”  Don Peyote

A jack-of-all-trades, Don Peyote captivates with a sound unlike any other. Energetic, soulful, and brimming with bass, his infectious tunage has rightfully landed on respected imprints such as Electric Hawk and Headbang Society. Having performed at Buku Music Festival 2022 and more recently opening for Deadcrow at Republic NOLA, Don is now gearing up for a stream of fall shows including New Orleans’ Midnight Revival and Fête Du VOID Festival on September 30th & October 1st. With a hard-hitting, polished sound in tow, Don Peyote is catapulting toward the upper echelons of Bass music with every riveting release.

Gammer & Pixel Terror Return With 1st Single Of 2022, “Step Back”

Published

on

Gammer
Dubstep heavyweights Gammer and Pixel Terror join forces for “Step Back, both artists’ first release of 2022, out on Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak Records. True to their signature styles, “Step Back” is one of massive proportions and certainly not for the faint of heart. Opening with a glitchy, big room trap style, Gammer and Pixel Terror up the ante with a breakdown of stabbing synths and a sinister dubstep drop. The additional elements of hardstyle and psytrance clearly set the track apart from the rest, making this a strong return to the circuit for both artists. Read on for what Gammer and Pixel Trap had to say about their new release:

“‘Step Back’ is my first new original track in a while. It’s a song I’m really proud of and feel like expresses the energy we both try to create. Anyways, we spent ages on a cool dubstep drop, but everyone plays the half-baked psytrance drop instead. So 10/10. Fully recommend!” — Gammer

“Took a lot of time back and forth with Gammer to create a festival banger that will suit the needs of nearly any electronic aficionado. From the huge chanty chords to the glitchy dubstep to the double-time hard-psy, we are really thrilled that this displays so much of both of our styles in such a dangerously cohesive way. We hope this will be a summer anthem, and from the support it has already received, we believe it might!” — Pixel Terror

➤ Download/Stream

English producer Gammer has become known in the dance circuit for his UK hardcore sound as well as trap and hardstyle, which attracted a new and younger generation of listeners to the heavy-hitting genres. He had become a household name on Monstercat by 2017, known for his timeless party anthems such as “The Drop” or “Party Don’t Stop” and collabs, such as “Quit” with Hudson Mohawke, “Incoming” with Steve Aoki or “Digressions” with Mija. On the other hand, Pixel Terror has made a name for himself with his own dubstep style, with notable releases such as “Contra,” “Enigma,” “Amnesia,” and more. Both artists have performed at some of the world’s best festivals, including Gammer’s recent performance at Tomorrowland and Pixel Terror’s at Bootshaus – one of the top club venues in the world. Keep an eye out for more coming from these bass maestros.
