Tommy Phillips Leads Dance Music Charts With “Sun Is Shining”

Since the end of August, the British producer and DJ Tommy Phillips has been leading the dance music charts with a House gem called “Sun Is Shining (Lovelee Dae).” Fun fact: this track is a rework of a 1997 summer classic produced by Blaze, now back in style in a more modern version!

The Story Behind “Sun Is Shining”

The story behind “Sun Is Shining” is really special. Tommy first heard the original “Lovelee Dae” at one of the first House events he ever went to. It was a super long set by MK, packed with vintage material, and that’s when the Anime Edge & Dance remix of “Lovelee Dae” came on. From that moment on, he fell in love with the track instantly.

After that night, he went looking for the record and began working it into his DJ sets. In fact, he played it for around eight years, so you can tell it’s one of his favorite cuts.

Happily, his own spin on this jam has blown up on the charts and in clubs, which makes everything he’s currently experiencing more than rewarding.

With lyrics that repeat like a mantra, saying it’s a lovely day and everything is fine around you, “Sun Is Shining” becomes a banger full of optimism to start your day on the right foot. Moreover, it also makes you feel so positive, like the summer days never ended.
