Kavinsky Olympics singer Angèle

Right now, there’s this Belgian singer who’s blowing up all over the Internet. Yep, I’m talking about Angèle, also known as the Kavinsky Olympics singer who owned the stage at the closing ceremony.

Why Angèle?

First off, Angèle is more of a big deal in Europe than anywhere else because most of her tunes are in French. And let’s not forget her bilingual bop with Dua Lipa, “Fever,” which has racked up over 380 million views, making it a global hit.

Nonetheless, when she switches to English, she sounds even more awesome. And we are all witnesses to this as we watch her performance alongside the French master of Synthwave, Kavinsky.

Her vocals on “Nightcall” are on point, adding a sweet, subtle, and dynamic vibe to that retro-futuristic jam. And I dig how they kept the original version intact with those classic vocoders that scream robotic vibes!

On the other hand, this rising European songstress is all about mixing catchy Pop with heartfelt lyrics. She’s got tracks about love, societal issues, or stuff that’s uniquely Brussels.

But after this performance, I’d bet she’s gonna soar even higher with more interesting collabs.

The Performance Everyone’s Talking About

As the lights dimmed and the first notes of Kavinsky’s set began to play, there was a buzz in the air. But it was when Angèle took the stage that the magic really happened.

Dressed to impress in all black and with her signature charm, she delivered a memorable performance. From the moment she started singing, it was clear that Angèle was in her element.

Plus, her voice was on point, effortlessly gliding over Kavinsky’s electronic beats. It’s no wonder the crowd couldn’t take their eyes off her.

She’s not just a rising star; she’s already a superstar in the making. And after this performance, it’s clear that she’s got a lot more incredible music—and moments—coming our way.

A Night of Unforgettable Collaborations

The Kavinsky Olympics singer was actually invited by the French band Phoenix, who also shared the stage with her for a special performance.

Since the Paris 2024 Olympics finale celebration, “Nightcall” by Kavinsky has been on fire on Shazam, setting a new high for daily searches… To be specific, this song hit a record 6,921,000 Shazams, topping “Dance Monkey” by Tones and I.

Other popular artists who participated in this event were AIR, Billie Eilish, and Ezra Koenig.
