If you’ve ever wondered what Dario Rossi has in common with 80s New Wave bands, it’s definitely his new single, “We’ll Meet Again,” from his upcoming EP, ’07Sep83,’ coming out on June 19th.

Considered one of the world’s best up-and-coming drummers, Dario flawlessly channels the iconic sound of bands like Depeche Mode, The Human League, and New Order using heavy synths and infectious drum machines.

Plus, his new music video would easily be sitting at #1 back in MTV’s golden era. Check it out here!

Escapism, Happiness, and Cosmic Vibes

The lyrics of “We’ll Meet Again” show the Italian artist is totally over chasing things like cars and houses just to pay endless bills. Instead, he daydreams about dropping off the grid completely to find true freedom finally.

Generally speaking, there is a mix of escapism and existentialism in his verses. I think it’s a song of a few words, but it raises deep questions about happiness. At the same time, it brings a sort of cosmic reconnection with the person he loves.

In the end, he just shrugs off all that stress and anxiety, letting the Electro-Pop melody carry him forward anyway.

From Street Drumming to Electronic Beats

Dario’s obsession with rhythm started when he picked up the drums at just ten years old, which eventually led him to study music formally in Rome. Back in 2011, he decided to take a leap of faith and move to London, where he started busking in Piccadilly Circus using a super unique setup made entirely of recycled objects.

The crazy experiment paid off instantly, drawing massive crowds of shocked onlookers and officially kicking off his career. By 2014, a video of him absolutely tearing it up on the streets of Berlin went totally viral, catching the eye of major TV networks and global newspapers.

That massive internet fame opened the door for his very first full-blown European tour the following year. These days, he has leveled up his performance style by blending those signature percussion skills with modern electronic gear like synths and samplers for a completely next-level live show.

In this fresh chapter of his career, he’s totally blowing people away by showing off a whole new side of himself, not only as a killer drummer, but also as a singer-songwriter and producer channeling those classic New Wave bands.

His drive to experiment with different styles keeps things incredibly exciting for him in the studio, and it’s a total treat for his fans, too!
