DESIRE Dazzle With Super Hot Music Video “Telling Me Lies”

Published

on

I swear this super hot music video is pure art! DESIRE captivate you in ways no other artists have ever done, especially because they showcase how sexy jail time can be within the realms of fantasy.

Dressed to kill in leather lingerie, singer Megan Louise is in full femme fatale mode, making the “Telling Me Lies” visuals so iconic as if it was a suspense thriller. Additionally, the fabulous steamy choreography behind bars is particularly memorable.

Following the successful cover of Kylie Minogue’s “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head, featuring Guy Gerber, DESIRE never loses the opportunity to reinforce unique retro aesthetics.

Once again, the record label supporting this amazing release, Italians Do It Better is doing justice to its name.

Likewise, Johnny Jewel, the mastermind of the project doesn’t set limits on his creative potential. Not to mention, his 80s-infused synths are part of the legacy across all his great gems.

As a matter of fact, “Telling Me Lies” is featured on the upcoming album by DESIRE, ‘Escape, which will eventually materialize after a decade-long pause. If this first single has a mysterious and seductive touch, I’m quite sure the next ones are also epic.

The 13-track material is set to arrive on May 3rd, 2022. Stay tuned for more details.

Watch ALETULLE’s New “Return To Sender” Music Video

Published

on

ALETULLE

ALETULLE is a Spanish Pop singer and producer based in London. She moved to the big city when she was only 16 years old and decided to start her own project, two years later she released her first EP ‘The Birth of Bardo.’

Since then, she has collaborated with a wide range of industry professionals who were involved in shaping the sound of Florence and The Machine, Michael Jackson, Ariana Grande, Sampha, Mick Jagger, The Weeknd, Skepta, Frank Ocean, and many more. This helped her develop her own sound, which she now proudly presents with her upcoming single and EP ‘Return To Sender.’

With the new single “Return To Sender, ALETULLE leaves behind her previous alternative style and fully immerses herself in the realm of Pop and Electronic music. “Return To Sender” has an Electro/Disco feel that fuses the punchy sounds of Michael Jackson with the smokey vocals of Lana del Rey. The instrumentals, which were entirely produced by the artist herself, have an optimistic tone in opposition to the themes explored in the lyrics. Consequently, the song has a triumphant and empowering feel.

ALETULLE
Lyrically, the song is about recognising negative behavior in a partner and deciding to walk away from them. The artist wanted to reiterate her wish to stop a pattern of abuse in her life. More than just addressing a lover, she is addressing all the different people that have engaged in this dynamic with her. She says that during the process of creating this song and music video, she found shelter in these lyrics and used them as an hymn to remain strong throughout what was a particularly challenging creative process.

The music video was also produced and directed by the artist. The EP ‘Return To Sender’ (to which this single belongs) was conceived as a visual EP. This video is the second chapter of the story, which was preceded by ‘The Greatest of All Time’, her first single of 2022. The visual EP is a commentary of her career as a recording artist and a critique to certain dynamics she’s experienced within the music industry. In this music video, ALETULLE travels to the big city to pursue her dream of becoming a star; mirroring the time she moved to London at 16 years old.

Luis Villanueva Directs Stunning Music Video For His New Single

Published

Luis Villanueva

“Wish U Were Here” is Luis Villanueva‘s first single off his upcoming EP. The song embellishes Jess’ sultry vocals and Luis’ bright and moving production. The driving bass and dreamlike energy of the track transport the listener and paints a colorful picture, only to have Jason’s vocals bring you back in for just a moment before sending you off again on the melodic journey.

Luis Villanueva is a Filipino film student at Columbia University in his final year of studies. He directed all stages of production for the “Wish U Were Here” music video and was the primary cinematographer of the project. Because of this, unlike most musical artists, he was involved in the creative direction of the entire filmmaking process.

Luis Villanueva
Villanueva personally wrote, edited, and directed the film whilst also composing and mixing the track himself. he was also the head VFX director and VFX designer of the project, programming all of the visual installations in Mario Rodriguez’s “Portals” exhibition in Tribeca.

“The goal of this project is to expose the world to Filipino artistry – we wanted to show this symbolically by shooting in 5 different countries. By including scenes shot in Manila and New York, we’re juxtaposing Filipino art with an already established cultural hub in Tribeca” — Luis Villanueva

This Is Guaranteed To Make You Sing, “Dangerous Blue” By Glüme

Published

Dangerous Blue

Singing releases endorphins and other chemicals which make you feel better. However, only truly catchy songs achieve this effect on us. One great option is “Dangerous Blue” by Glüme aka the ‘Walmart Marilyn Monroe.’

The “What Is A Feeling” singer returns with a music video that will literally blow your mind. It’s incredible how a swimming pool becomes the perfect scenario where the magic happens.

Without a doubt, her talent encompasses not only writing fantastic tunes but also directing and creating something aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

In addition, I love how she adds some creative flourish to her verses. By this, I mean she takes figurative language to the next level through her own lyrics.

Dangerous Blue
If I’m not mistaken, “Dangerous Blue” talks about substantial changes. Perhaps, she’s telling the story of someone who is adopting a different attitude, perspective, or new vision in life for the sake of freedom.

”Dangerous Blue”… a loss of innocence. I see the world differently after the pain. I become the person that learns to see in the dark… but does that mean I now cause that pain to others?  Or do I seek to turn it around and be free? — Glüme

The Italians Do It Better label features this Electro-Pop gem and much more via the fourth volume of their ‘After Dark’ compilation series. Everyone go stream it!
