Girls of the Internet are a live band and studio collective from the UK who treat music like a blank canvas. This time around, they join forces with the melodious voice of EVA to create chill Disco vibes on their extraordinary new single, “Heavenly Sea.”

The music video below transports you to the beach, with the singer right there in the scene, passionately delivering every word. If you want to relax with the ocean waves and the laid-back textures of this song, take a moment to watch it here!

Relaxed Disco Grooves for Slow Dancing or Sofa Time

One way or another, EVA’s soulful, reverb-drenched delivery channels the glory days of 70s music. Moreover, the lyrics of “Heavenly Sea” deal with love, heartbreak, and climate change, a peculiar and quite creative mix.

In my opinion, it’s the perfect jam to close out the summer, with melancholic, nostalgic notes that deepen that feeling. Add to that relaxed Disco grooves for those who prefer to dance slowly, or simply listen while relaxing on the sofa.

The Video and the Story Behind It

The rural Suffolk coast served as the location for the new music video, since the sea and the natural imagery fit the theme of this single so well. Specifically, the shoot took place in Walberswick.

On another note, Tom from Girls of the Internet explained that he and EVA were in the studio while temperatures were going wild this summer. They got chatting about polar bears losing their homes to climate change, and that became the starting point for the whole composition.

On Tour This Autumn

“Heavenly Sea” lands right before a packed autumn run of gigs, with the band hitting big venues in Dublin, Berlin, Manchester, Brighton and a bunch of other cities. Not to mention, people love their live sets because they blend real instruments and different vocals with founder Tom Kerridge’s production skills.

Additionally, they’ve already taken over stages like Glastonbury, The Warehouse Project, Hï Ibiza, Fabric, Printworks and Drumsheds, making a name for themselves as one of the most exciting live acts in dance music right now.

They also skip the usual DJ and producer formula, giving off the same live-band energy as Ezra Collective, Sault and Jungle, with plenty of housey and chill Disco vibes on top.
