5 Things YouTubers Do To Increase Their Presence

YouTubers
YouTube is one of the most competitive sales platforms on the internet. There are over 37 million channels on YouTube, many viewers have short attention spans, and no matter what subject a person wants to vlog about, there is sure to be someone who already has a channel devoted to the same subject. If you are planning to start a YouTube Channel, you want to have a strategy going in. There are five things that successful Youtubers do to get followers.

1. Upload Videos on a Regular Basis

Remember when your favorite show came on once a week? You could always record it, but you didn’t trust your DVR in an emergency, so you made sure to be home when it was on.

Although people have more options nowadays, they still like consistency. If you post a video every week at the same time, people will know when to expect it and be disappointed if you do not post one. People who like your videos will either subscribe to your channel or search for you each week.

2. Think About Your Title

Stay away from giving your YouTube channel an obscure name. Your title should clearly indicate the theme of your channel. You should also decide the major goal of your videos. Are you trying to sell something, inspire people, teach people, or make them laugh. The more specific the title of your channel and videos, the more likely people will find you and keep watching.

3. Get on Suggested Videos Lists

One of the most important things you can do to draw people to your channel is to appear on a list of suggested videos. The videos that appear in a viewer’s suggested list are comprised of videos from creators they have watched, videos similar to those they have created themselves, and those similar to the content they have watched before.

Keywords are the most important thing for getting on a suggested video list. You will want to look for very popular videos that are similar to yours and use some of the same keywords that they have.

4. Encourage Engagement

Engaging with viewers is extremely important. Whenever you make a video, you should encourage viewers to like, comment, and subscribe to your channel. Both positive and negative comments will increase your profile. Be sure to answer any questions your viewers ask and respond to comments.

Create some merch for your channel and have a free drawing to give away a hat or T-shirt. You do not have to buy a hundred shirts to do this. You can use an on-demand printer that will let you create your shirt online and print and ship them out as they are needed. You can find more information about promoting your URL here.

5. Build videos Around One Keyword

Your video and the description of it should center around a single keyword. You should only use about ten tags, and they should all contain the primary keyword or a closely related word. At least 4 of those tags should be the same from week to week.

If you want to be the next big thing, a prominent YouTube presence will help to ensure your success.
